Fun Day Monday!

If you look back at November 2008's posts you will find one where I got to spend time with the Senor family during my internship in Michigan. Well its been four months and I am now interning at the Knoxville News Sentinel, and ironically, Andrew Senor just moved to Asheville, NC, which is a measly two hours from me. We decided to meet up and Gatlinburg and hang out yesterday. If one can have too much fun, we crossed that line!

Going Green

Ms. Duncan owns Greenway School, and just bought an electric car. By the way, can you guess her favorite color.... This was just a shot I grabbed while she was waiting for her husband at the school.

Out of Context

Spring has Sprung and the Fun has Begun

Ok first off, that title is totally an inside joke.... let me let you in! I had a friend that worked at a portrait studio and had to answer the phone like that, and anytime I was in a bad mood I would just call so I could hear him, a "very serious photographer" say it. Giggles every time.
Anyway, I am not crazy about this photo, just thought I would put it up for giggles.

Thought Wrong

Do you ever leave a feature and think to yourself, "Hey, I got a pretty cool shot," only to return home and realized either a) you missed it, b) you messed it up, or c) nothing cool really ever happened? I think choice "a" is what got me. I had a ton of fun hanging out with these kids, but didn't seem to get the picture I thought I had. Try, try, try again.

Mountain Justice

I went with Kohl to a protest against TVA in Knoxville on Saturday. I didn't get anything that I am fond of, but here are a few from the edit. Actually the one with Kohl in the background happens to be my fave. I was going to be obnoxious and snap a pic of him in shoot and gather mode, when the girl in front of me started to stand on her tip toes. I dropped and snagged that photo.

Out of the Dark

Peeps

A few of my favorite pics of friends I have been able to see over the past few months.

So long

There's a sad sort of clanging from the clock in the hall
And the bells in the steeple too
And up in the nursery an absurd little bird
Is popping out to say "cuckoo"
Cuckoo, cuckoo
Regretfully they tell us Cuckoo, cuckoo
But firmly they compel us Cuckoo, cuckoo
To say goodbye . . .
Cuckoo!
. . . to you
So long, farewell, auf Wiedersehen, good night
I hate to go and leave this pretty sight
So long, farewell, auf Wiedersehen, adieu
Adieu, adieu, to yieu and yieu and yieu
So long, farewell, au revoir, auf wiedersehen
I'd like to stay and taste my first champagne
So long, farewell, auf Wiedersehen, goodbye
I leave and heave a sigh and say goodbye -- Goodbye!
I'm glad to go, I cannot tell a lie
I flit, I float, I fleetly flee, I fly
The sun has gone to bed and so must I
So long, farewell, auf Wiedersehen, goodbye
Goodbye, goodbye, goodbye
Goodbye!

P.S. For the safety of my reference reputation I wasn't able to post the true picture of Ryan that I wanted to.
