Looking Over Us

For our last dinner in the states some of the Peace Corps Trainees went to TGI Fridays, basically because it was the closest restaurant to our hotel. For those of you who don't know Peace Corps was started by John F. Kennedy in 1961 in Ann Arbor, Michigan.
Meeting new people and making new friends... new friends to add to my wonderful collection, not to replace my old friends, the day was exciting, wonderful and tiring. I just felt like a great feeling when we were sat down to dinner and there behind our table, looking over us was a photo of JFK. It was just a symbolic assurance of the next two years. What we are committing to. The challenges and the adventures we are about to face and just knowing that 200,000 Americans have been exactly in the same nervous, uncertain state that we are in. Its nice to know that someone is looking out for us. I am so excited and look forward to the wonderful achievements and lessons that we will receive for the next two years.

...on a technical note. I just started using a PC with out photoshop. My photos may look like crap until I master this new piece of technology. Wish me luck!

The Walk

My last night in Kentucky. Beautiful sky, fireflies and good company.
