Muhlenberg County, Ky

The places we used to call home

Glen, Chris and Matt's place:
* Fred (the salisbury steak that was cooked the first week and wasn't thrown away until the week before they moved out)
* Bill (the female grey cat with the white spot on the tummy.... except for that time that Matt died it blue)
* The last place I saw Matty before he left for bootcamp.

The Hodges:
* The signatures on Robin's floor
* Where we watched the final episode of Seinfeld
* Rosy's cooking

Mike's apt:
* Naked Gun poster
* Listening to Melancholy and the Infinite Sadness on repeat
* Skipping school on the day of the bomb threat

High Wall:
* Dust covered cars and trucks
* Glen's pretty dives
* Getting stranded there during the full moon swim with Chris and Glen, and then walking 4 miles to a phone. (there was no phone, but there was Mt. Dew)

The Bell:
* What did the cow say to the farmer...
* Hanging out after church
* "Keep this on the DL or I'll have to G your meat"

The Road on the way to Mt. Pisgah:
* Chris' bug's rusted out floor and driving through puddles
* The Hodges always being late for church
* MxPx, Primus and Korn

The Gazeebo:
* Junior prom dinner
* Marriage proposal

My house:
* Hide and go seek in the dark with the music blaring
* Halloween parties
* Watching movies

Melissa's house:
* Top 25 lists
* Music
* Taped tv shows

Alex's house:
* Christmas parties
* Grandma's cooking
* Swimming

...Daddy won't you take me back to Muhlenberg County, down by the Green River where Paradise lay?
Well, I'm sorry my son, but you're too late in asking Mister Peabody's coal train has hauled it away.

Ahh. Muhlenberg Cty the place where my mama was raised too! It melancholic that your house is again, I believe for sale, and that Melissa's House is brick rubble. I love getting to see your life in a short photo story! How beautiful!
